How much does a tiny house cost?
It all depends on what you put in it and how big the tiny house is. Also, is it on wheels?
If you build it yourself and you are very resourceful, free to $5,000 or so. If you buy most of your stuff and build yourself, around $15,000 to how ever much you want to spend. If someone builds it for you, you should $45,000 and up.
How big will the homes be in the community?
300 sq ft to 45o sq ft. Most will be just a living room. That is your kitchen, living room, and your bedroom. Other than that, it’s like a normal home. The bigger ones will have one or two 70 sq ft rooms added. The bigger homes will be for families.
How many veterans are homeless with families?
On average, around 1/3 of the homeless veterans have wives and kids.
Who can live in the community?
Any veteran that has no home and can’t rent. Also with a desire to move forward and buy their own home. You have to want help before you get help.
Who can’t live in the community?
Non-veterans, unless they are family with the veteran. Also veterans with drug problems, we request they go to a rehab first and we will help with the process and get you off the streets until it can be arranged for you to be moved to the rehab. After that, you can come to us once completed and a letter from them stating you completed the course.
How do I get a VA health identification card? Where do I need to go and what do I need to bring with me?
The easy thing to do is to walk into your local VA. You can always give us a call and we will walk you through the website. You can also stop in at the office and we will walk through the website together.
